1. About these terms

These terms apply to career26.com and our related services, including the Academy, summits, events, interview practice, job listings and reports. Our Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice and Disclaimer also apply to your use of Career26.

Career26 is operated by Career26 Limited. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Career26 Limited, and "you" means the person using Career26.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• The information you give us, including your name, email and education details, must be accurate and kept up to date.
• Your account is personal to you. Keep your password secure and do not let anyone else use your account.
• Tell us promptly at admin@career26.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

3. Using Career26

When using Career26, you must not:

• Share, download, record, resell or redistribute course videos, recordings, reports or private access links.
• Submit false, misleading or plagiarised applications, CVs or interview answers, or have someone else complete them for you.
• Harass, abuse or impersonate other users, speakers, employers or our team.
• Scrape, copy or extract data from the platform using automated tools.
• Attempt to bypass security, access areas you are not authorised to use, or disrupt the platform.
• Use Career26 for anything unlawful.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as CVs, application answers, uploaded files and interview recordings. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display that content to provide our services. This includes generating AI-assisted feedback on interview answers and sharing your applications and interviews with the employers or programme organisers for the opportunities you apply to, as described in our Privacy Notice.

You confirm that you have the right to submit your content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

5. Our content

Career26 and its content, including course materials, videos, recordings, reports, interview questions, branding and software, belong to us or our licensors. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial career development only. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

6. Academy, summits and events

• Places on the Academy, summits and some events are competitive and subject to application. We decide who receives a place.
• We may need to change schedules, formats, venues, speakers or content. We will let you know about significant changes as soon as reasonably possible.
• Some courses or events have attendance requirements, which we will tell you about when you join. Certificates or other recognition may depend on meeting them.
• Employers and partners make their own decisions on shortlists, interviews and offers. We cannot guarantee any outcome (see our Disclaimer).

7. Tickets and payments

• Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe.
• You can request a refund by emailing us more than 14 days before the event date. Tickets cannot be refunded within 14 days of the event date.
• Because tickets are for events on a specific date, the statutory 14-day cancellation period for online purchases does not apply to them.
• If we cancel an event, we will offer you a full refund of the ticket price.
• Tickets are personal to you and may not be transferred or resold without our agreement.

8. Suspending or closing accounts

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close your account, or remove you from a course or event, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

9. Our responsibility to you

We provide Career26 with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Career26 is for personal career development, so we are not liable for any business losses, such as lost profits or business opportunities. We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for problems caused by third-party services outside our control. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our services or the law. The date at the bottom of this page shows when they were last revised. We will tell you about material changes before they take effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
