Cookie notice
Career26 uses cookies and similar technologies so the site can function securely. Essential cookies include anonymous usage analytics. Personalised analytics when you are signed in is optional and only happens with your consent.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and signed cookies used to authorise private video playback. They help the site remember preferences, keep you signed in, measure anonymous usage, and (with your consent) personalise analytics when you are signed in.
Why does Career26 use cookies?
We use essential cookies for authentication, security, private video access, and anonymous product analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, we may also personalise analytics when you are signed in.
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Essential Cookies | Required for the site to work. Includes Amazon Cognito authentication cookies, short-lived CloudFront signed cookies for private video, and anonymous Heap Analytics so we can understand basic site usage without identifying you. These cannot be switched off. |
| Analytics Cookies | If you accept, we may personalise Heap Analytics when you are signed in, so we can understand product behaviour across sessions. Anonymous Heap tracking still runs under essential cookies if you turn this off. |
Cookies and similar technologies we use
- Amazon Cognito - essential session and authentication cookies so you can stay signed in securely.
- CloudFront signed cookies - essential, short-lived cookies (Policy, Signature, and Key-Pair-Id) on our video domain so authorised users can stream private course and interview videos. These typically expire after about six hours.
- Cookie consent storage - we store your cookie choices in local storage on your device so we remember your preferences.
- Heap Analytics - under essential cookies we measure how visitors use the site anonymously. If you accept analytics cookies and are signed in, we may personalise analytics so we can understand product behaviour across sessions.
Separately from cookies, Career26 may record first-party product events (for example job apply clicks or course views) on our own servers to operate features such as view counts. Those events are described in our Privacy Notice.
How can I manage cookies?
When you first visit, you can accept cookies or open the banner menu to turn off personalised analytics before saving. Essential cookies (including anonymous Heap) cannot be disabled because the site relies on them for login, private video, and basic usage measurement.
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or video playback. Clearing site data will reset your stored cookie preferences and may show the banner again.
Updates
We update this Cookie Notice when our use of cookies changes. The date of the last update is shown at the bottom of this page. For how we process personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Notice. Questions: zhan@career26.com.
